About

The Nabe, a successor to The New York Times Fort Greene/Clinton Hill Local, seeks to provide news as well as offer an open platform for community engagement.

The goal of the site, run by faculty and students of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, is to help the community report on itself – using the latest online tools to gather and share information of relevance to these vibrant, diverse and ever-changing Brooklyn neighborhoods.

The CUNY J-School sees the site as the next step in the exciting experiment started by The Times in 2009, aimed at exploring the intersection of community news and online technology as journalism evolves.
