- Rooftop Films kicked off its summer season on Friday, reported Gothamist. The summer film series shows movies every year on roof tops around Brooklyn, including the roof of the Trilok Fusion Center for the Arts in Clinton Hill. You can buy tickets online for the next movie in the neighborhood, “We Are the Best,” a Swedish film about a teenage girl punk band.
- Yoko Ono was one of four artists who received an honorary degree from Pratt Institute, which held its 125th commencement on Friday, reported The New York Daily News. New York Times architectural critic Michael Kimmelman also received an honorary degree and delivered the commencement speech to 1,337 graduates.
- The transportation committee of Community Board 2 will hold its monthly meeting tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Saint Francis College, 180 Remsen Street, in the first floor board room. The committee will discuss a plan to improve pedestrian safety on Park Avenue.
