With the gray skies behind us until the weekend, we’re looking forward to some sun today, but we’ll still have to deal with cool temperatures holding in the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service. Don’t forget share your photos in The Nabe’s Flickr group if you’re out enjoying the day.

- Local Jim Malone, who lives with his wife in Fort Greene, gave a look inside his journey from a song writer to a furniture designer in this post on the Brooklyn Daily Eagle. The former musician crafts the furniture he sells in his Manhattan store CounterEvolution at a his workspace on Hall Street in Clinton Hill. Much of the wood used to craft his unique designs come from large slabs of reclaimed Heart Pine that are best known for use in bowling lanes.
- If you haven’t caught local artist Richard Lebenson‘s latest show and art sale at Baguetteaboutit! Cafe, there’s still time to pick up some affordable pieces at the closing party tomorrow night. Most of the work is under $300, with some pieces as low as $125. He’s also got a few portfolios of drawings and unframed prints that are even more inexpensive. Make your way to 270 Vanderbilt Avenue between 5:30 to 8 p.m. to buy your piece of local art.
- Make Music New York is back this year on June 21 and it has just announced its full schedule. The eighth installment of the city-wide music festival brings its largest amount of concerts yet – more than 1,350 public concerts in 45 neighborhoods. The robust offerings for Fort Greene and Clinton Hill include concerts in Fort Greene Park, as well as numerous wine shops and restaurants along Myrtle Avenue.
